Day Four
The last 42 miles! I started off by having breakfast on the Monacacy Aqueduct; absolutely beautiful! This section of the C & O starts to get more populated since you get closer to DC. You also go through the Great Falls area. The picture will tell the story! Finally, you are in Georgetown were the C & O is born from the Potomac River. Every part of the Great Allegheny Passage and the C & O Canal is beautiful. If you are lucky enough to live near any part of this great trail system, it is worth the time to check out. |
